"the necklace" elapsed time 20 mins.
*sigh*...Well,...UHH,...*sigh*Okay I'm just gonna say it...I LOST THE BOOK FAIR WEATER!!!!I know, but, ther still is hope!Because I have a back up!YES!!!HA!HA!HA!...Yeah...So any way, it's a personal favorite of mine it's a poem called "The Necklace".
There's this lady who loves to live in luxery, even though she can't afford it.She gets married to a sweet, poor, middle class, man. Her husband's friend is hosting a party and she basicly pleads to go.He says yes but then she says she needs a new dress, shoes, and shall, he say yes to all of them even though it'll cost them a fortune, then she raids her jewery box to find that the gold has rusted, and the diomands turn pale against her bright dress,co, not having the guts to ask for a new diomand necklace, nor a new dress, she goes to her friends house. After a long conversation and explaining to her friend she gets to the point and asks 'c-can I...borrow your diomand necklace?' She was snob as you could tell and didn't like borrowing things that OTHER people touched. She didn't have ANY problems with borrowing new, shiny things, but old things, no.So any way she goes to the pary and every one thinks she's the center of atention and every thing goes perfectly...until...Her husband has to go home to take his medicen and offers to take her with him she say 'no' so he leaves then about an hour later she calles a taxi to drive her home. after ariving at her home she quickly rushes to her room to her close and such away before some thing bad happens to them, then she realizes that her necklace is missing!Afraid her friend will get mad she uses the money in her savings to buy a new one and gives the fake to her friend. She tells her husband what happend, and works the rest of her life to pay him back. Her once blond hair turned white, her eyes are pale, she lookes 10 years older than she should. Depressed, she goes to the market and sees her friend, she tells what had happend and she says 'Oh, you mean that costume jewlery I let you borrow a year ago?'....THE END
NOTES: The moral is, tell the truth!!!

were I am so far in nick peck's 'FAIR WEATHER' part 2 elapsed time 24 mins.
....And welcome back! So any way, as I said before, our characters ( brother and sister) were in their back yard on the old tire swing and they saw a dot in the distance. They soon found out that it was their grandpa on his as they say,...ehem..."dat ol'e horide excuse for a beaten jalopy."Their grandfather was blazing down the road with his tea-cup-pup Tip, and his old gray horse Lilian Russel. He had just came back from the post office and had a wax-sealed-letter in his hands.Since 'The Poney Express' aparently doesn't go there, their grandpa, as the book states, was the 'Next Best Thing.' In their neighborhood. So any way,(sorry I got a little side tracked there.) They only got two letters a year so as you can imagine they were surprised...Again sorry I left you on yet another cliffhanger. Bye!

were i am so far in the book 'fair wather' by Richard PECK TIME SPAND OF 20 MINUETS
So far, it starts out in a country house with a girl in the back yard with braids in her hair on a swing snaping peas. (Didn't mention name yet.) She's almost fourteen and will finish school in a year. While she is going on with her work, her brother who's in a bib and overals with nothing else was coming toward her with a dead squirel in his hands.Although he was trying to be swift in his actions, his sister, who is older by the way, heard every thing, but didn't care. Her eight-year-old brother tryed his best to frankly discust his sister he gave up and handed her two flowers witch she would used to make dolls out of and they'd play together, but she said she was too old.He got angry and pushed her 0ff the swing, then after an arguement they got bored and started talking. After about an hour of girly gossip about their sister supposivly liking their neighbor's hired help, they saw a dot in the distance. (sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger but that's how I am so far. Later! 0.o)
